The Ocean Club Administrative Services Manager "[s]tates that only since March of this year [2007], more than 50 new employees were admitted, so he does not have yet any deep knowledge of these people. Regarding other strange situations that could have happened in the resort, like for example, thefts in the interior of apartments, the deponent states that there have occurred some but that he does not know of any recent situation".
El Gerente de Servicios Administrativos del Ocean Club "declara que sólo desde marzo de este año [2007], más de 50 nuevos empleados fueron admitidos, por lo que no tiene todavía ningún conocimiento profundo de esas personas. Con respecto a otras situaciones extrañas que hubieran podido ocurrir en el complejo turístico, como hurtos en el interior de los apartamentos, el deponente declara que han ocurrido algunos pero que desconoce alguna situación reciente".
This statement was taken from the Polícia Judiciária official files of the case, Vol. II pages 353 and 354. The Ocean Club Administrative Services Manager did not know of any recent theft in the interior of apartments, although there was one in Block 5 apartment L, only three weeks before his statement. And now the two questions:

Why the Ocean Club new (and old) employees line of inquiry was not more deeply investigated in the first five months, while the no promising leads of Murat and the McCanns as suspects received almost exclusive attention?
¿Por qué la linea de investigación de los nuevos (y viejos) empleados del Ocean Club no fue más profundamente investigada en los primeros cinco meses, mientras que las pistas no promisorias de Murat y los McCanns como sospechosos recibieron una atención casi exclusiva?
Why the Ocean Club Maintenance and Services Director, who, in the area of services and in the area of maintenance, is responsible for the admission of employees, was so willing to make statements about Murat and the McCanns?
