EL RAPTO DE MADELEINE MCCANN: LINEAS DE INVESTIGACIÓN DE SCOTLAND YARD
Madeleine McCann crime was an abduction by a stranger to her parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, and their holiday seven friends. The abduction could be planned, or not.
El crimen de Madeleine McCann fue un secuestro cometido por un extraño a sus padres, Gerry y Kate McCann, y a sus siete amigos de vacaciones. El secuestro pudo ser planificado, o no.
The five investigation lines, which may converge or not, are the following:
(1) unidentified man carrying a child towards the beach zone at 22:00 on May 3rd. 2007.
(2) unidentified man or men seen, close in time and space to the abduction, near apartment 5A.
(3) unidentified men asking help for charity money in Praia da Luz, one close in time and one close in space, to the abduction.
(4) unidentified man or men that commited a theft 17 days before the abduction, and a failed theft 7 days before the abduction, very close to apartment 5A.
(5) unidentified man carrying a child at 21:15 or at 21:50 on May 3rd. 2007 (possibly identified man, the incident is discarded in practice).

E-FITs AND REFERENCES
(1) These e-fit pictures, showing a white male, aged between 20 and 40, with short brown hair, clean-shaven, medium build and of medium height, were compiled by different witnesses. Both witnesses spotted him in the resort of Praia da Luz on the evening the three year-old disappeared. Andy Redwood said: “This man was seen walking towards the beach area or the centre of town at approx 22.00hrs from the direction of the apartments when Madeleine was taken from on Thursday, 3 May 2007".
Estas fotos e-fit, que muestran un hombre blanco, cuya edad está entre 20 y 40 años, con cabello marrón corto, bien afeitado, contextura media y estatura media, fueron compilados por testigos diferentes. Ambos testigos lo han observado en el complejo turístico de Praia da Luz, en la tarde que la niña de tres años desapareció. Andy Redwood dijo: "Este hombre fue visto caminando hacia la playa o hacia el centro de la ciudad a aproximadamente las 22:00 horas viniendo desde la dirección donde están los apartamentos donde Madeleine fue secuestrada el jueves 3 de mayo de 2007".

(2.1) A man seen on two occasions by one witness on 30 April, at approximately 08:00 and 2 May, at approximately 12:00. Both sightings were near apartment G5A (5A). He is described as white, 30-35 years old, thin build, short light coloured hair, shaved to 1 cm in length, with spots on his face described as being caused by shaving. On both occasions he had black sunglasses with a thick frame, and was wearing a black leather jacket.
Un hombre visto en dos ocasiones por una testigo, el 30 de abril a las 08:00 aproximadamente, y el 2 de mayo a las 12:00 aproximadamente. Ambos avistajes fueron cerca del apartamento 5A. Fue descripto como blanco, 30-35 años de edad, contextura delgada, cabello claro corto, afeitado 1 cm de lomgitud. En ambas ocasiones usaba gafas de sol negras de armazón grueso, y vestía una chaqueta de cuero negra.

(2.2) A man seen by a different witness than (2.1), again near apartment G5A, on 3 May at approximately 16:00. He is described as white, normal build, blondish fair hair, which is described as quite close shaven, aged between 30-35 years old.
Un hombre visto por una testigo diferente a la (2.1), otra vez cerca del apartamento 5A, el 3 de mayo a las 16:00 aproximadamente. Fue descripto como blanco, contextura normal, cabello rubio descripto como bastante rapado, y una edad entre 30-35 años.

(2.4) Two witnesses saw two blond men in their 30s, standing on the balcony of an empty apartment only few doors away from the McCann's flat.
Dos testigos vieron a dos hombres rubios treintañeros, parados en un blacón de un apartamento vacío a sólo pocas puertas del apartamento de los McCann.

(3.1) A charity collector who called at apartment G5a on the 25 or 26 April, between 14:30 and 15:00. He is described as Portuguese looking, aged 40-45 years old, with short dark hair, slightly grey at sides. He was carrying, a clip board or pad, receipt book, and an ID card with his photo on it, but in that photo he had a goatee beard.
Un colector de caridad que llamó al apartamento 5A el 25 ó 26 de abril, entre las 14:30 y las 15:00. Fue descripto como de aspecto portugués, 40-45 años de edad, con cabello corto oscuro, algo gris hacia los costados. El hombre llevaba una especie de carpeta, un talonario de recibos, y una tarjeta de identificación con su foto, pero en la foto tenía una barba tipo chivo.

(3.2) One of two men who approached a property on the Rua do Ramalhete, near to the Ocean Club, on 3 May at approximately 16:00. He is described as Portuguese, with medium length wavy hair, aged 25-30 years old. He is said to have spoken good English.
Uno de los dos hombres que se acercaron a una propiedad en la Rua do Ramalhete, cercana al Ocean Club, el 3 de mayo a las 16:00 aproximadamente. Fue descripto como portugués, con cabello ondulado de longitud media, de 25-30 años de edad. La testigo dijo que hablaba un buen inglés.

I found, in the first volumes of the Polícia Judiciária Files, that a man is referenced who:

(b) was living near the location where the Smith family saw the suspect,
(c) had a previous record for theft,
(d) was an Ocean Club employee,
(e) was not working between 09:00 pm and 11:00 pm on May 3rd. 2007.
(f) might know well the Ocean Club apartments, and
(g) was in the zone at 11:00 pm on May 3rd. 2007.
He encontrado, en los primeros volúmenes de los expedientes de la Polícia Judiciaria, que se referencia a un hombre que:
(a) estaba viviendo cerca del apartamento 5A,
(b) estaba viviendo cerca del lugar donde la familia Smith vio al sospechoso,
(c) tenía un prontuario previo sobre hurtos,
(d) era un empleado del Ocean Club,
(e) no estaba trabajando entre las 09:00 pm y las 11:00 pm el 3 de mayo de 2007.

The block 5 (where the 5A apartment is) had a theft on 5L on April 17th. 2007, and an intent of theft on G5 (5G) on approximately April 26th. 2007. That is, 17 and 7 days before the abduction of Madeleine.
Was this man investigated and ruled out?
El bloque 5 (donde se encuentra el apartamento 5A) tuvo un hurto en el 5L el 16 de abril de 2007, y un intento de hurto en el G5 (5G) aproximadamente el 26 de abril de 2007. Esto es, 17 y 7 días antes del secuestro de Madeleine.
