He recibido varios emails comunicándome que este hombre, retrato robot 20/2007 en el expediente público del caso, habría sido identificado como MAG. Esto no es así, como demostraré a continuación. Quienes afirman que ha sido identificado se basan principalmente en traducciones de publicaciones amarillistas y sensacionalistas, y no en la lectura del expediente público, que contiene 11.223 páginas, y que fue distribuido en DVD. Este blog informa con seriedad y responsabilidad.
En las páginas 4.556 y 4.557 del proceso (Relatorio Final) se menciona que la testigo vio a este sujeto, cuyo retrato robot reproduzco, observando el departamento de los McCann, en dos momentos diferentes. "No habiéndose, todavía, logrado su identificación", se aclara. Ahi se dice también que se hicieron diligencias que condujeron a identificar a MAG, pero "sin resultados incriminatorios" en este caso. Y aclaro "en este caso", porque MAG tiene "antecedentes criminales, específicamente de cariz sexual". Tampoco resulta positiva la identificación de este sospechoso con NB, de acuerdo al Relatorio Final. En el informe del Procurador (páginas 4614 y 4615) se dice que la testigo vio al sospechoso "en la parte trasera del apartamento de Madeleine, en un pequeño camino que ahí existe de acceso a los apartamentos, observando ostensiblemente la baranda" del mismo.
Existen 95 páginas sobre MAG en el Apéndice VI del proceso (páginas 632 a 726). Este apéndice no es público, y por lo tanto no he tenido acceso al mismo. En el mismo se encuentran, entre otros datos, un listado de personas con antecedentes de crímenes sexuales.
Las declaraciones de la testigo pueden consultarse en las páginas 800 a 804 del proceso. En la página 805 se apunta que la testigo no ha reconocido al sospechoso, en la fotos que se le mostraron, de "individuos de características físicas y criminológicas coincidentes con su descripción". En ninguna parte del expediente se dice que este sujeto del retrato robot 20/2007 haya sido identificado.
Por todo esto, resulta demostrado que el sospechoso del retrato robot 20/2007 no es MAG, y permanece aún hoy como NO IDENTIFICADO.

On pages 4556 and 4557 the process (Relatorio Final) mentioned that the witness saw this guy, whose portrait robot I reproduce, watching the department of McCann, at two different times. I write "in this case" because MAG has "criminal history, specifically in the sexual aspect". Nor is positive identification of this suspect with NB, according to Relatorio Final. The report of Attorney (pages 4614 and 4615) states that the witness saw the suspect "in the rear of the apartment of Madeleine, in a small way that there exists which access to apartments, ostensibly watching the rail" of it.
There are 95 pages about MAG in Appendix VI of the process (pages 632 to 726). This appendix is not public, and therefore I have not had access to it. In the same appendix there is, inter alia, a list of suspects with a history of sexual crimes.
The testimony of the witness can be found on pages 800 to 804 of the process. On page 805 it is noted that the witness has not recognized the suspect in the photos of "individuals with criminological and physical characteristics consistent with her description", that were shown to her. Nowhere in the record states that this portrait subject 20/2007 robot has been identified.
For all this, it is shown that the suspect from identikit 20/2007 is not MAG, and remains today as UNIDENTIFIED.
